Port Richey Woman Accused Of Beating Child With Clothes Hanger

A Port Richey woman has been charged with child abuse for allegedly beating the 4-year-old who was screaming and crying.

PORT RICHEY, FL-A 38-year-old Port Richey woman is facing child abuse charges for allegedly beating a 4-year-old with a clothes hanger.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Teresa Ann White-Fry of 9118 Dresden Lane had custodial responsibility for the child on Friday, Nov. 17, when the youngster reportedly began screaming and crying due to separation anxiety.

The 4-year-old told deputies that White-Fry responded by beating the child on the legs, thighs and buttocks with a hanger. Deputies photographed bruises on the child.

White-Fry admitted she “tapped” the child on the buttocks with her palm but denied using a hanger.

However, based on the visible injuries and consistent statements from the 4-year-old, deputies arrested and charged White-Fry with child abuse.

She is being held at the Pasco County Central Detention Center in Land O’ Lakes on a $5,000 bond.
