Reward Offered For Tips On FL Pickup Driver Who Struck Pedestrian

A pickup truck driver struck a pedestrian crossing U.S. 19 in New Port Richey and then left the scene.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a hit-and-run driver.

On March 14 at 3:38 a.m., a person was walking across U.S. 19 just south of Floramar Terrace in New Port Richey when a white pickup truck heading south on U.S. 19 struck the person and then drove off.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The pickup truck was caught on a surveillance video. New Port Richey police believe it is a white, 2003 to 2008 Dodge Ram four-door pickup truck with silver or reflective aftermarket mirror covers and black fender flares.

To be eligible for the reward, Crime Stoppers must be contacted at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online or send a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application.
