Sheriff Says Man Raped Teen Girls While Playing Online Video Game
While playing Grand Theft Auto

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- An 18-year-old New Port Richey man has been arrested for sexually assaulting two girls while playing the video game Grand Theft Auto online.
Daniel Enrique Fabian has been charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a person between the ages of 12 and 15.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said the charges stem from two incidents that occurred in June.

On June 28, Fabian was reportedly playing a Playstation 4 video game online with a 16-year-old Tarpon Springs teen. The teen said Fabian had been telling him that he planned to have sex with a 15-year-old girl who had come to his house.
Fabian then took a break from the video game but remained online and left his headset microphone on. The teen said he could hear the girl tell Fabian "no" as he proceeded to assault her.

The teen girl reported the assault, telling deputies that Fabian covered her mouth, pushed her down and sexually battered her despite her telling him four times to stop.
The teen underwent a rape exam that supported her allegation of sexual abuse.
However, it took five months for the Pasco Sheriff's Office to get the results of the DNA test that linked Fabian to the assault and gave the sheriff's office probable cause to arrest him.
In the June 4 assault involving another teen girl, she also told Fabian to stop but he ignored her pleas.
In an interview with detectives, Fabian admitted to the assaults.
As of Monday, he was being held in the Land O' Lakes Detention Center without bond.
