Teen Shot In Holiday Home Invasion

The victim was shot by another resident of the home, deputies say.

HOLIDAY, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early Thursday morning home invasion in Holiday.

According to the agency, a call came in at 1:08 a.m. from the 3300 block of Garfield Drive about three males who entered a home.

During the break-in, one of the residents of the home accidentally shot a 16-year-old girl who also lives there, deputies say. The girl was shot in the upper chest with a shotgun. She is in serious condition at a local hospital, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies say the three suspects in the invasion took off and remain at large.
