West Pasco High Schools Get Their Grades
The 2013-14 grades released by the state Thursday are a mixed bag for high schools on the county's west side.

Grades are out for high schools across the state of Florida and the results are a bit mixed for campuses on Pasco County’s west side.
The good news is none of the county’s school received a grade lower than a “C,” but the majority of high schools that did pull that grade are on Pasco’s west side.
Overall, nearly 70 percent of Pasco’s high schools received an “A” or a “B” grade from the state. That’s despite the state’s increase in the grading scale difficulty.

“I’m ecstatic about the significant increase in our graduation rate,” said Superintendent Kurt Browning. “I can also say that I’m pleased that most of our schools either maintained or raised their grades, especially when the bar was set higher this year, but I’d still caution anyone from reading too much into these grades,” he added.
