2nd Arrest Made in USF Campus Shooting
Police say a second student also fired a gun during the Oct. 11 incident.
A 22-year-old University of South Florida student from Miami now faces charges in connection with an on-campus shooting incident that took place over the weekend.
According to the USF Police Department, Lamar Robbins was brought into custody Thursday afternoon. Robbins, police say, was with Benjamin Knox around 4 a.m. Oct. 11 when shots were reportedly fired near the Crescent Hill parking garage. Police ultimately discovered that bullets were fired at the Holly D residence hall.
Knox, 21, was taken into custody Oct. 11.

Police spoke with Robbins after the incident, but now say he provided false information. Witness accounts, an email from the agency said, indicated that Robbins was with Knox and also fired the gun.

Robbins was charged with possessing or discharging a firearm on campus and providing false information to law enforcement. He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail Thursday. He was being held in lieu of $8,000 bond as of Friday morning.
As for Knox, he was released from jail Oct. 11 after posting $32,500 bond. He faces shooting at an occupied building and discharging a firearm on campus charges.
The shooting incident resulted in no injuries.
