42nd Street Closing Announced

New Tampa motorists who use 42^nd Street to get to their destinations may want to consider taking a different route later this week.

Hillsborough County has announced the road will be closed between Fletcher Avenue and Woodspring Lane from 11:59 p.m. March 14 to about 4 p.m. March 15 for water line replacement. The closure affects both north- and southbound traffic.

Instead of taking 42^nd Street in this area, Hillsborough County recommends motorists take the detour, which runs from North 42^nd to Fletcher to North 46^th Street and back onto 42^nd Street.
