Floyd: May 2011

Patch: How long have you lived in the area?

Floyd: I grew up here and moved to Maryland and California after high school and I've been back since 1999.

Patch: What do you love about living and working in our town?

Floyd: The weather.

Patch: What do you wish everyone who came into your shop knew about you?

Floyd: On a personal note, I love to travel, cats and of course reading.  On a business note, I don't just want to sell you a book I want to find a new author or genre for you.  If you're looking for a certain book that's great, but if you're looking for something new that's when I really try to find the perfect book for you.

Patch: Tell us a quick story about a time you provided awesome customer service:

Floyd:  I have a customer who is collecting John Grisham hardcovers and he told me he was looking for a signed first edition of “A Time to Kill,” (his first book) and he was willing to pay up to $3,000. I was able to find the book for him for $2,800 and he was thrilled.
