$8K in Jewelry Stolen From Watergrass Home
Police say the West Meadows burglary is similar to others that occurred earlier this year in the same area.

Someone broke into a Nest Fern Circle home in the Watergrass subdivision and swiped $8,000 worth of assorted jewelry Wednesday.
The incident occurred sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., according to Tampa police.

Electronics such as a flat screen television and laptop computer were undisturbed, and the home is near the end of the street and next to a conservation area.
“This incident is very similar to other burglaries that have occurred in this subdivision this year where the homes were close to a conservation area and only jewelry (was) targeted,” according to a Tampa Police Department District II report.

Police said the last similar burglary to occur in the subdivision, which is part of West Meadows, was on May 23.
