
Update: The Tampa Police Department reports that Angie Whidden was located safe and sound in the Lutz area just after noon on Tuesday. Whidden was found walking along Nebraska Avenue, about 8 miles from her home.

The Tampa Police Department is asking area residents to keep their eyes open for a missing 91-year-old old woman.

Angie Whidden was last seen leaving her home at 2909 E. 99th Ave. on foot. Whidden was wearing jeans and a sweater.
“Family members are concerned for her welfare due to her fragile condition,” an email to media from the department stated. “Patrol officers are searching the North Tampa area to quickly find and return her home safely.”

Anyone who sees Whidden is asked to contact the police department at 813-231-6130.
