Assisted Living Facility Coming to New Tampa?

A proposal to build on Highwoods Preserve Parkway has received a green light from the Tampa City Council.

Local seniors who need some help with the day-to-day routine might have a new place to call home right in the community.

A plan to construct an 88-bed assisted living facility at 18600 Highwoods Preserve Parkway has received support from the Tampa City Council and the West Meadows Homeowner’s Association, according to The Tampa Tribune. If constructed, the new center would include three single-story buildings and also offer space for medical and professional offices.

The project being put forth by Pinpoint Commercial LP out of Houston, Texas, has had an easier time of it than a failed charter school once planned for the same area, The Tribune pointed out.
