News broke this week of New Tampa's Blockbuster store closing on Jan. 27. We asked readers on Facebook whether they were sad to see it go. Here's a selection of what people had to say.

  • Danielle Walters: It definitely is end of an era. Video (or now DVD) stores are all gone. No choice but to buy DVDs before watching or using online sources like Netflix.
  • Bob West: I don't think this qualifies as "end of an era".
  • Kelly Davis Miller: Between Netflix and On Demand, I have no need for Blockbuster and their late fees
