How Many Unused Cell Phones are Sitting in Your Cabinets and Drawers?

Recycling in the 21st Century

How many of you own a Mobile Phone and or Laptop? In this Day and age of fast paced consumerism and high speed Internet connectivity, along with High Definition (HD) signals streamed into HD Screens around the world.  The demand for newer, better, faster, brighter seems to be the new norm; it appears as if a new device or Mobile Phone, Laptops, tablets and iPads are developed to feed this demand every six months or less.

The reality of it all...... this is true in some instances. But at what cost? You might think I'm referring to a monetary figure? However, I'm not! The cost in which I’m drawing reference to is largely unseen by consumers. We not only live in a  fast paced constant purchase environment as mentioned at the beginning  of this article. It is also one of rampant disregard for the planet. There is an estimated 3 to 4 unused mobile phones that are in kitchen cabinets and dresser drawers, Just take a look around your home and see how many you have laying around.

The opening question to you was, how many of you all own a Laptop or Mobile Phone, unless you live under a rock I would imagine everyone reading this has at least one of each, if not more. these devices stored  within them are  unique and very precious resources. We will discuss these resources in the next blog, by the way what role will you play in this recycling process?
