Entrepreneurship At Its Finest - Little Greek Restaurants
Little Greek Restaurants, affectionately known as My Little Greek, offers fresh, healthy, fast, and different - all for about what you would spend on a greasier counterpart.
If you are a business owner, chances are that you frequently eat quick service, or fast food. The convenience and abundance of options makes it nearly impossible to crave one of these tasty treats. But I find myself asking two questions - 1. "Why are most of my fast options of the hamburger variety?" and 2. "Why is everything so unhealthy?"
Let's tackle the latter first. Most QSRs (Quick Service Restaurants) utilize a strong efficiency model to manufacture and transport their food items. And in many cases, the quality of the food items is mediocre, or worse, to begin with. Then, these items, especially the proteins, get flipped and dipped - lubed and goobed before being formed into a lightweight, deeply frozen, probably held many weeks somewhere in a freezer, pressed into various shapes, excessively handled by people and machines food "item" meant for the bottom of a deep fryer or the top of a greasy grill. After all of the effort and processing, patrons are left with meal options that can exceed 1000 calories.

I find it interesting that we can over-do the handling, processing, and packaging of a food item, and somehow that is less expensive than taking the same item directly from the source to the point of sale, without any of the warehousing, trucks, or administrative overhead. Go figure?

As for the first question, I believe that hamburgers are just easy to produce, strore, transport, and sell. "But what if I want something different in a QSR experience that is also fresher and healthier?"
Luckily, there is an answer! Little Greek Restaurants, affectionately known as My Little Greek, offers fresh, healthy, fast, and different - all for about what you would spend on a greasier counterpart.
