The Biggest Recording of My Life (Day 1)

I can't believe the time has come. I have been preparing since 2012 for this recording date. In just a few short hours, I will be back where it all began for me.  I spoke to Steve Jankowski last night. Everything is set and confirmed!

I'm looking forward to seeing one of my best friends and fellow musicians tonight.  Joe Peterson is picking me up at the airport and is with whom I'm staying. He's played on my previous recordings and is a talented bass player that I've known for what seems like forever.

All week I have been thinking about my father, Walter Riddle, who passed away in 2005 without meeting any of my daughters. I have felt his presence all week. He would have loved this! Last night a friend posted a message on Facebook, "I have an angel watching over me and I call him Daddy." It kind of brought a tear to my eye. I can't help feeling a bit nostalgic — after all, this recording will be titled, "Remember When."  Thanks Dad, I love and miss you. I wish you could see me now!
