The Brown Shoe Closet, All New Inventory
The Brown Shoe Closet in Wiregrass mall has all new inventory and is still offering some of the best prices on shoes in the area.
If you’re anything like me, you love your high heels. I will be honest, I will stalk a sale until it calls the cops, and one of my favorite places to stalk was The Brown Shoe Closet.
It was commonplace for there to be a sign outside the door that read 50%, 60% and sometimes even 70% off! This is where I got my Fergie fix and took care of my Carlos cravings. The sales people would see me coming and welcome me back. Well, imagine my horror when the doors closed for a few days and upon my return, all I saw were green and white Naturalizer boxes as far as the eye could see! Oh no! What’s a high heel junkie to do?

I stepped in to see what, why and how dare they change to inventory that I consider ... practical. I spoke with the sales person and wanted to know how their regulars like me were taking this change. At first the reaction was dismay, much like the feelings I was having. She then told me that after they tried on a few pair, the feelings changed.
Well, being the shoe fanatic that I am, I decided that I would at least look around, give the Naturalizer brand a gander. I have yet to put my foot in a pair but I will say that I was somewhat surprised that these “practical” shoes had a few pair that made me wonder if a green box would end up in my closet soon. Since they overhauled the entire store, I wondered if this meant the name would change as well. I was told that The Brown Shoe Closet would remain but they were just trying to appeal to the audience that primarily lives in the New Tampa area.

I know I am the exception with my 4” to 6” heels in many cases so I could not be angry with one of my favorite offline shoe stores in the area. Sometimes we need “practical” shoes and perhaps the new inventory will cause me to expand my horizons.
I can always still shop the sales at Dillard’s and Macy’s right? Have you ventured in to see what’s new at The Brown Shoe Closet in Wiregrass? If so, I would love to hear your thoughts. I went in with a preconceived notion of what I’d find there and now that I’ve had a chance to look around, I may still stalk the sales there. Be sure to stop in if you haven’t and get your shoe fix.
