Hungry New Tampa residents no longer have to travel to enjoy Burger King. The fast-food chain recently opened on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard near Imperial Oak Boulevard and the Wesley Chapel border.

According to an October article in the Tampa Tribune, the 3,144-square-foot eatery is not the first Burger King restaurant to come to New Tampa. The first location here opened in 1999, yet was closed three years later because of its owner's bankruptcy problems, the article stated.
