Chase Bank Being Built at Cypress Preserve, BBD

Some motorists on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard may do a double take upon passing Cypress Preserve Drive.

The formerly wooded corner is now full of workers constructing a Chase bank branch that, when finished, will replace the one at Tampa Palms Boulevard West. The new branch — 5205 Cypress Preserve Road — is about one mile north of the existing location and is expected to open in October.

According to the city, the single-story structure will be 4,396 square feet and will include a drive-through. Cypress Preserve Drive will provide the only access point to the business.

Permits for the project were issued about two weeks ago.
