Designer Consignor: Repeat Performance Boutique

I love to shop, I only know a handful of women who don't enjoy shopping.  I also know that part of the joy of shopping is the ability to tap into your creative side.  Putting together outfits & pairing it with just the right accessories to achieve a look that is hopefully uniquely you.  Not many women want to go out & see the outfit they've chosen on someone else.  This is why so many are choosing to shop at consignment & thrift shops.

Yes, many of these clothes started out in the mall but how long ago?  Not to mention, when you choose to go the consignment route, often you are able to purchase high end designer fashion at an affordable price.  As I shopped through the city, I have found some wonderful small boutiques, designer consignment shops & a few really great thrift stores.  I will be sharing them with you starting with one of my favorites.

Repeat Performance Boutique is owned by Karen Gurney, its been in its current location for 23 years but she has recently taken over ownership and if being warm & inviting means she'll be there another 23 years then I see her place going on forever.

This lovely little shop is filled with everything fashion you can possibly dream of.  Clothes, shoes, accessories, you name it, she's got it.  The brands range from the most reasonable I.N.C. & Steve Madden up to the higher end like YSL, Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin & last night, I saw a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti booties that had not scuff mark on the bottom.  Just because its being consigned, does not mean its been worn.

Some of the items, even at the significantly discounted price of being considered used can still be pricey so Repeat Performance offers a lay away program.  That alone means I may be in trouble because I think 20% of my wardrobe comes from there currently without the lay away program.

If you're on the south end of town & want something that you won't see coming and going, be sure to stop in to see Karen.  You won't be disappointed.  If you are looking for a fun girls night out, ask her about hosting a private shopping party.  I did & we had a blast, it helped support a small local business so it was a win, win for everyone.
