
After a two-hour phone negotiation, Tampa Police say they have the suspect in an armed robbery of a CVS in custody. The arrest was announced just before 1 a.m. Friday.
The incident began to unfold around 8 p.m. when police say a man held up a New Tampa CVS pharmacy on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard demanding pills.
Police say shots were fired inside the business when the man’s demands for pills were not met quickly enough. No one was injured.

After getting the pills, the suspect left.
Police located a vehicle thought to belong to the suspect near the Portofino Apartments, 8702 New Tampa Blvd.
