Divers Recover Body of Adult Female From Pond

Divers from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office have pulled the body of an adult female from a small pond at the complex today.

The unidentified woman had been found floating in the water at 14609 Banyan Bluff Drive.

"Detectives have turned the body over to the Hillsborough County Medical
Examiners Office who will assist with making a positive identification, notifying next of kin and determining the cause of death," a Sheriff's spokesman said.

Authorities cordoned off the pond, near the intersection of East Bearss Avenue and 22nd Street, while local residents watched divers enter the water late this morning. A woman was seen crying at the scene.

The Sheriff's Office said it does not anticipate releasing any additional information today.
