'Do Not Vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016,' Man's Obituary Urges
The North Carolina man also asked friends and family to support Tampa's Shriners Hospital for Children.

Tampa’s Shriners Hospital for Children stands to gain some support as part of Larry Darrell Upright’s final wishes. The North Carolina man, however, doesn’t seem to have any love for Democrat Hillary Clinton.
“The family respectfully asks that you do not vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016,” Upright’s online obituary reads.
Upright, 81, died April 13 and was laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Park April 16. The member and past master of the Allen-Graham No. 695 Masonic Lodge and former Shriner of the Year’s obituary plainly calls on friends and families to support the Tampa hospital that serves children with orthopedic needs. The obituary, posted on the Whitley’s Funeral Home website, even provides a mailing address for checks to be sent in Upright’s honor in lieu of flowers.

Hillary Clinton officially announced her candidacy one day before Upright’s death. Three Republicans have also entered the arena, including Florida’s own Sen. Marco Rubio.
The obituary does not advise which candidate Upright would have preferred to see in the White House following President Barack Obama’s two-term run. What is clear, however, is that Upright’s final wishes have gone viral. The man’s story has made national headlines with some mourners vowing not to support Clinton’s candidacy.
“P.S. will not vote for Hillary,” wrote one mourner on the funeral home’s website.
“We promise not to vote for Hillary,” wrote another.
Whether Upright’s final wish will materialize or not remains to be seen. Gallup estimated Clinton’s favorability rating at 48 percent in a poll released in early April. That rating is her lowest since 2008.
