Celebrate the unveiling of Public Art created by local photographer Lori Ballard and the students of the Prodigy Cultural Arts Program.
This Public Art features close up photographs of local plants and flowers taken by Ballard and teen students of the Prodigy Cultural Arts Program. Ballard started her career by taking photographs of nature, and frequently features local subjects. Her work has been widely exhibited and is included in numerous collections.
Ballard taught the Prodigy teens the basics of photography and how to work with digital cameras. Then, she mentored them at the USF Botanical Gardens as they took photographs that are now featured along with Ballard’s in the hallways and conference rooms at the University Area Community Social Service Center.
