Evolving with the New Music Industry

As major labels struggle to make profits in a digital era, musicians are now able to liberate themselves from the tyranny of “The Major” labels and pursue the independent route. The downloadable music era has given rise to the independent artist and labels producing successful acts such as Moby, Macklemore, Mumford & Sons to name a few.

Symphonic Distribution was launched over half a decade ago with this principle in mind, developing platforms that can empower independent artists and record labels to launch their music careers successfully. As the owner and creator, Jorge Brea, was an artist himself, he was able to see the challenges artists faced at the time.  The days of this small startup based out of an apartment are long gone. Today the local Tampa Bay company has paid over 1.5 million in royalties and distributes music for over 6,000 independent labels worldwide, which include, Spain, India, South Africa, Brazil and Russia.

Most recently, the company has launched a variety of services and upgrades that include a timely and transparent Royalty System, upgraded Music Management Platforms, Web/Graphic Design, Music Licensing for film, TV, trailers, commercials, and video games, Marketing, CD Pressing and a Publishing Administration program that will be launched late 2013.

About Symphonic Distribution:

Symphonic Distribution was launched in the winter of 2006 by Jorge Brea, a music producer from Tampa, Florida. The company was launched with the intention of providing new and established record labels cost effective digital distribution to retailers such as iTunes, Beatport, Rhapsody, Amazon, and more with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. By the end of 2007, the company struck agreements with over 250 record labels, and improved its offerings to include additional services such as Mastering, Marketing, Label/Artist Development, and more. Today, the company distributes thousands of record labels worldwide, has developed new technologies in the form of in house systems, mobile apps, and has acquired independently run brands all over the world with the intention of providing all clients as many offerings as possible under one roof.
