Fowler Avenue Closing for Railroad Crossing Replacement

The closing will impact the area east of Nebraska Avenue.

Motorists who use Fowler Avenue to get around might want to start planning out a new route to take for a few days.

The roadway is closing down east of Nebraska Avenue starting Thursday at 9 p.m. for the replacement of a railroad crossing. The Florida Department of Transportation estimates the work will take about a week, weather permitting.

When construction begins, motorists will not be able to travel through the work zone, an email from FDOT stated, but access to local businesses will be maintained.
