Girls Cross Country Teams Advance to State Meet
Freedom, Wharton high schools to send runners to Dade City on Saturday, Nov. 19.
Both Freedom and Wharton high schools are sending their girls cross country teams to the state meet next Saturday (Nov. 19) at Dade City's Little Everglades Ranch.
The Freedom girls team placed third while the Wharton girls team placed sixth during the regional meet in Sarasota on Nov. 12. The Freedom boys cross country team also competed this past weekend, but did not advance after finishing in 10th place. Teams had to finish in the top six slots to move on.
