GTE Financial Offers $2,500 Scholarships

In its third consecutive year, GTE Financial’s Scholarship Program is now accepting applications from graduating high school seniors and college undergraduates for $2,500 scholarships. Applicants will be evaluated on their level of extracurricular community service involvements and contributions, as well as their essay content, academic achievements and work experience.

“Every day it becomes more competitive and expensive to earn a college degree,” says Joe Brancucci, GTE Financial president and CEO. “We are proud of our student-members who are working hard towards this goal and yet still find time to be active in and give back to our community. The GTE Foundation Scholarship is one way to reward them and provide additional financial support.”

A committee comprised of some of the Bay area’s top professionals, chaired by Fowler White Boggs CEO Rhea Law, will convene in late June to judge submissions and select the scholarship winners. Winners and their parents will be invited to a celebration luncheon with GTE’s executives, board members, and the judging panel to accept their awards.
