Halfacre Construction Company Awarded Tinker Elementary School Project
Halfacre Construction Company was recently awarded under the Continuing Contract Agreement with the Hillsborough County School Board.
Halfacre Construction Company (www.halfacreconstruction.com), the area’s oldest, most established, locally owned and operated private commercial construction company, was recently awarded the Tinker Elementary School modular project under the Continuing Contract Agreement with the Hillsborough County School Board.
Scheduled to begin in May 2015 with a projected August 2015 completion date, the project includes constructing a new addition to the school, which will be used for additional classrooms and science labs. The six new modular classrooms and associated facilities are required for the conversion of Tinker Elementary School into a kindergarten through eighth grade facility.
“Halfacre Construction Company has been on-board since the inception of this project and have been extremely helpful and cooperative throughout,” said Travis Steed, principal architect at Long & Associates Architects / Engineers, Inc. Steed has worked with Halfacre Construction Company and Tom Rees, a project manager for the company, on modular installations at seven other school sites last summer and is currently working with the company on two more School District projects, which are being designed. “Halfacre Construction Company assisted in field verification of existing conditions, and they have been instrumental as a liaison with the modular building manufacturers to ensure constructability and to stay within budget.”
