Julie Schenecker's Attorneys Call Dad Negligent in Shootings

New Tampa mom Julie Schenecker may be standing accused of killing her two children, but her attorneys say the father is far from blameless, according to media reports.

Parker Schenecker had filed a civil lawsuit against his former wife. And on Monday, her lawyers responded, saying that Parker was negligent because he knew his then-wife was mentally unstable and left her alone with the children anyway, according to www.tampabay.com. Parker, an Army colonel, was overseas at the time of the shootings.

Beau and Calyx Schenecker were found shot to death in their Tampa Palms home back in January. Their mother, who has a history of mental and addiction problems, admitted shooting them but pleaded not guilty.
