Lady Wildcats Hit Wall Tuesday Night Against Steinbrenner
Wharton's Lady Wildcats took on the Lady Warriors of Steinbrenner Tuesday night and lost three straight.
The Lady Wildcats were stopped in their tracks Tuesday night (Sept. 27) when they played at Steinbrenner. The girls were coming off a nine game win streak, but were halted by arguably one of the better teams in the county.
Steinbrenner's Miranda Powell was devastating and Wharton was out of sync for all three games.
"They were definitely a tough team but our mental game was off," said Wharton head coach Eric Barber. "We made them look better than they were."

The Cats went down Tuesday 25-12, 25-14 and 25-11 in three straight against Steinbrenner.
It was an off night for junior Caci Andreychuk and senior captain Jenna McKernan. The Cats only led for a few points in the third game and were a little shellshocked.

It's only the second loss of the year for Wharton so they are still looking fine going into some very important district games against Newsome and Bloomingdale next week.
"We have the Bayshore tournament this weekend. That should help us get back in sync," said Barber.
