New Tampa Infant Drowns in Bucket
One-year-old was out of his family's sight for 10 minutes, police say.

A family whose infant son was out of sight for a short while made a gruesome discovery today – the 1-year-old was upside down in a 5-gallon bucket containing a mixture of cleaning solution and water.
The child drowned and was pronounced dead at University Community Hospital, according to a news release from Tampa police.
The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. today, July 31, at a Layton Court residence. Mujeeb Bouazizi was out of his family’s sight for about 10 minutes, police said. When the family located him in the garage, he was unresponsive. Arriving police administered CPR but were unsuccessful in saving his life.

Police said just 5 inches of fluid were in the bucket at the time of the drowning.
