Over the weekend, NTLL defeated West Virginia (5-2), Virginia (14-1) and South Carolina (5-4) at the tournament in Warner Robins, Ga.

Tonight, they face Alabama in the semi-finals, and the match will be televised on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. The winner of tonight's game will then face Georgia on Friday, Aug. 12, for the Southest Region final and the right to advance to the Little League World Series.

Head Coach Ed Thinger is optimistic. “It’s going to be a good game," he said. "We have to play our best to beat them tonight."

Thinger said that Alabama is a tough team, having won regionals in previous years.

“They have a good squad and solid pitching,” he said. “We took the boys hitting today, and we are ready."

Locals will surely be pulling for them.
