Auto burglaries at Hunter’s Green

Locals might want to be more cautious about locking their car doors.

Someone entered a host of unlocked cars in the Hunter’s Green subdivision sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning and made off with personal items and electronics, according to police.

Among the items reported stolen were a small amount of cash, a checkbook, an iPhone, an iPad, two iPods, a digital camera and GPS equipment. The auto burglaries were reported on the following streets within Hunter’s Green: Grey Brooke, Meadow Lane, Courtney Breeze and Esprit.

In one instance, the thief entered cars in an open garage and also stole a BMX bike from the garage.

Bikes Stolen

Two bicycles were reported stolen from a residence at Bristol Place Apartments, Amberly Drive, on Friday. To remove the bikes, police said, the thief cut the screen of the lanai.

A lanai screen was cut and a bicycle was reported stolen from a residence at Cypress Run Apartments, Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, on Thursday, according to police.
