The Tampa Bay Rebels will host the Florida Flight at Freedom High School in New Tampa on June 22nd with a start time of 7pm. Children 13 and under receive free admission to the game, while those over 13 can purchase tickets for $10 at the gate or at the R●Sole store in University Square Mall.
Coming off back to back victories against a talented Heartland Prowl team, the Rebels now find themselves in first place with a 7-2 record heading down the homestretch of the season. Point Guard Cory Lemons has earned consecutive league Player of the Week awards and is averaging an impressive 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists over his last two games. Guard Stan Bufford has been an important part of the last two victories as well, and is averaging 18.8 points, and 7.4 rebounds per contest so far this season. Punta Gorda native Chris Stephenson has provided a lift for the team as well and enters this weekend averaging 17.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
