Roundup of Recent Crime in New Tampa
Auto and home burglaries were reported during the weekend.

A handful of separate auto and home burglaries were reported this past weekend, according to the Tampa Police Department.
- A Coral Kay Avenue residence was burglarized between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday. Through forced entry, someone went inside the home and took PSP games and a laptop computer. No value was given for the items stolen. A suspect has been identified, according to police.
- On Friday around 9:30 p.m., someone stole a wallet after forcing their way into a vehicle parked on Palm Royal Drive at the Grand Reserve Apartments.
- Someone entered a third-floor apartment at Amberly Drive’s Bristol Place Apartments on Saturday, ransacking two bedrooms and stealing a laptop computer. It is unknown if the thief had a key or if the victim left the door unlocked, according to police.
- Also on Saturday, someone smashed the rear window of a residence on Magnolia Chase Circle in the Hunter’s Green subdivision. The alarm was activated and the suspect attempted to disarm the system. According to police, the suspect then removed a kitchen knife before fleeing undetected.
- Someone stole a Garmin GPS device from an unlocked vehicle parked at Meadow Pine Drive. Another vehicle parked there had its windshield broken and the residence was also egged, according to police.
