Sandbags Available for City of Tampa Residents
Residents can pick up bags through the weekend.

As Tropical Storm Erika continues to pose a threat for the Tampa Bay area, the city has announced that sandbags are available.
Residents of the incorporated parts of the city may pick up free sandbags at the following locations:
- Bobby Hicks Pool, 4201 W. Mango Ave.
- Jackson Heights Playground, 3310 E. Lake Ave.
- City of Tampa Solid Waste, 4010 W. Spruce St.
Sandbag pickup is available at these locations until 8 p.m. Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Residents must show proof of residency within the city limits to receive the free sandbags. Identification accepted includes valid driver’s licenses or utility bills. There is a 10-bag limit.
