Sarasota Bayfront 20:20 Announces Two Upcoming Events
Three new community stakeholders bring the total to 24 groups involved

Sarasota Bayfront 20:20 (www.sarasotabayfront2020.com), a coalition of community organizations united in support of a vision for Sarasota Bayfront, has scheduled two upcoming events to raise awareness and gain further community input.
The first event, Bayfront & Brews, will take place on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015 from 4 – 5:30 p.m. at JDubs Brewery located at 1215 Mango Ave. in Sarasota. The event will be an open-house format with informational tables and social media avenues for audience comment. The first 100 people to attend will be treated to a free beer.
The next event, Sunday Supper & Open House, will take place on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015 from noon – 2 p.m. at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex at 1845 34th St. in Sarasota. This open-house format will offer attendees an opportunity to give feedback about the Bayfront and engage in an informal conversation about redevelopment while enjoying a delicious meal.

Both events are free and open to the public.
With the recent additions of the Bird Key Homeowner’s Association, the Downtown Sarasota Alliance and the Downtown Sarasota Condo Association adopting the 20:20 vision, there are now 24 organizations with a common goal of moving forward with developing a vision for the Sarasota Bayfront. Those organizations include: Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast, Coalition of City Neighborhoods Association, Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County, Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, Gulf Coast Community Foundation, Visit Sarasota County, Rosemary Association, Sarasota Garden Club, Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, North Trail Redevelopment Partnership, Sarasota Orchestra, Van Wezel Foundation, The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County, The Players Theatre, Tahiti Park Neighborhood Association, Sarasota Opera, Argus Foundation, St. Armands Business Improvement Development, Condominiums on the Bay, Art Center Sarasota, Bird Key Homeowner’s Association, Downtown Sarasota Condo Association, Downtown Sarasota Alliance and The Ringling College of Art & Design.
