Search On for Bank Robbery Suspect

BREAKING: Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies say a man robbed a bank on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard Friday morning.

TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help identifying a man wanted in connection with a Friday morning robbery at a MidFlorida Credit Union branch in Tampa.

According to the agency, a man walked into the 20401 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. bank around 9 a.m. and walked up to a teller. The man then passed a note “demanding money and implied he was armed with a firearm,” an email from the sheriff’s office said.

After passing the note, the man placed a maroon-colored bag on the counter. The teller filled the bag with money, the sheriff’s office said. The man took the bag and note before fleeing the bank, deputies said.
