Sheriff's Office Seeking Information About Fatal Shooting
Michael Massaline, of Shadow Moss Lane, was shot in the upper torso. Authorities are seeking the public's help in learning more about the incident.

A 26-year-old local man was shot and later died as a result of his injuries.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of shots fired near East 131st Avenue and 22nd Street in the University area shortly after 2:30 p.m. today (Oct. 24). They found Michael Massaline, of Shadow Moss Lane, lying in a yard between two duplexes.
“The victim had been shot in the upper torso and was transported to Tampa General Hospital,” spokeswoman Debbie Carter said in a news release. “Deputies were able to speak to the victim prior to him being transported to the hospital, but the victim did not provide any information about the identity or description of the person that shot him.”
Massaline died at Tampa General.
