Sheriff Seeks Leads In Bearss Avenue Business Burglaries

The sheriff's office believes these burglaries may be related to similar crimes in Hernando County and Haines City.

TAMPA, FL – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to identify five men who are responsible for at least two business burglaries.

According to the sheriff’s office, the burglars broke into the Metro PCS store at 2556 E. Bearss Ave., Tampa, Monday, Jan. 8, shortly before 4 a.m. and stole various items. A few minutes later, they also broke into the Rent-A-Center at 2267 E. Bearss Ave., and stole more items.

The sheriff’s office believes these burglaries may be related to similar crimes in Hernando County and Haines City.

All five men are black. Four wore black or gray hoodies. One wore a white hoodie. They are believed to be driving a 2016 to 2018 four-door black Audi A6.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200. Anyone with information who wants to be eligible for a cash reward should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously on the Crimestoppers’ website or send a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application, which can be downloaded for free on iPhones, iPads and Droids.
