Tampa Police Phone Lines Down

People who want to reach the Tampa Police Department through the non-emergency lines will have to call a different number Friday morning.

According to police spokeswoman Janelle McGregor, the non-emergency line (813-231-6130) is down for maintenance. The line is expected to go back up around 11:30 a.m.

While they’re down, McGregor said people who need to reach the agency for a non-emergency situation can call 813-223-1112 for help.

The scheduled maintenance does not affect the 911 system. If there’s a need for immediate help, people should use 911, she added.
