Thieves Nab $14,000 from Local Eatery

They took the restaurant's cash payroll and a gold necklace.

Pasco County deputies are looking for help identifying a group of people who are accused of swiping $14,000 from the in Wesley Chapel today.

According to sheriff’s office spokesman Kevin Doll, a group of people went into the 1742 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. eatery this afternoon and asked for a large table. As their hostess was putting tables together to accommodate the group, one person went behind the counter and took a bag that contained the restaurant’s payroll. Inside was $14,000 in cash and a gold necklace, Doll said.

After the group had the bag, the people “quickly left,” Doll said.

The sheriff’s office has released two surveillance photos of the suspects in the case. Anyone who might have information about the suspects is asked to call Detective David Duff at 1-800-854-2862, Ext. 5022.
