Unlucky to Lucky Star Fundraiser

On Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, Star came into the care of Cat Crusaders after having languished for days with broken limbs and multiple injuries likely suffered from being hit by a car or from some sort of abuse. She is a sweetheart of a cat that got a second chance at life, but it came with the high price tag of more than $2,000 in vet care, requiring Cat Crusaders to raise needed funds.

If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to her care, please visit the Cat Crusaders website and look for the “Support Us” button on the right side of the screen to use PayPal for your donation. Or, you can send a check to: Cat Crusaders, 4220 Waterville Ave., Wesley Chapel, FL 33543.

Also, consider, joining us for an evening of fun on Friday, February 28 at 5 p.m. at the Animal Based Charities’ thrift store in South Tampa, located at 4465 W. Gandy Blvd., for some shopping, where 50 percent of the purchase price of items will go toward Star’s vet care. There will be a wide array of baked goods for sale, including a vegan vs. non-vegan competition, to benefit Star, as well as a beer tasting, raffles and more.

It’s a purr-fect way to kick off your Friday night while making a difference, too.
