Wesley Chapel Elementary Seeking Donations for Wellness Week

Incentives needed for students and staff for making healthy choices.

 

Wesley Chapel Elementary is holding its Wellness Week this week (Jan. 17-Jan. 21), and donations are still needed, including gift cards and fruit. Here is the information from organizers:

We are writing this letter in the hopes that your organization will be able to donate any type of incentive for our students and staff for making healthy choices. This includes gift cards, t-shirts, or any item(s) that can be used as a prize."

Some of the activities planned for the week include:

  • Staff Fitness Bingo - The staff completes a cover-all bingo sheet by Friday, marking off each box related to health and wellness. †Staff members that complete a bingo sheet turn it in for a prize drawing on Friday.
  • Commercial Calisthenics - One day will be designated for students, parents, and staff to get up and get moving if they are watching television that night during the commercials.
  • Fresh Fruit Friday - Students and staff will get to pick a free healthy snack during lunch ranging from apples, bananas, tangerines, pears, etc.
  • Yo Yo Yoga day - Classes participate in their classrooms by watching the yoga video created by the p.e. department.

If your organization can donate a prize for our wellness week, contact Chris Gorman at (813) 298-5651 to arrange for pick up or feel free to drop it by the school with attention to Chris Gorman.
