Wrong-Way Driver Caused Crash, Deputies Say
While there were no injuries in the Thursday morning crash, deputies say a Wesley Chapel man was arrested.

A 35-year-old Wesley Chapel man faces DUI with property damage charges after Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies say he caused a Thursday morning crash by driving eastbound in a westbound lane on Bearss Avenue.
According to the sheriff’s office, Adam Stumpf was headed the wrong way in his 2015 Toyota Tacoma around 12:45 a.m. Deputies say motorist Shannon Rotolo, 22, of Palm Harbor was heading westbound in the proper lane at the time.
Rotolo saw Stumpf’s truck coming and veered to avoid a crash. Stumpf, however, veered right and struck Rotolo’s 1999 Honda Civic, an email to media from the agency stated.
