Saturday Clinic Exposes Youth to Wrestling
Wrestle Nation is in the midst of a winter wrestling clinic. Registration is being taken for the spring session.

Wrestle Nation is holding a Saturday morning wrestling clinic at the house of worship on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. The winter session is more than halfway completed and is closed, but registration is being taken for the 8-week spring session that begins on March 24.

“All of these kids have never wrestled,” said instructor and organizer Rich Helm. “Our aim is to get youth exposed to wrestling.”
The clinic is open to those ages 5-14. They learn stretching, wrestling rules, conditioning, techniques and coordination. One of the great things about the sport, Helm said, is that athletes can be successful no matter their size or shape.

Early registration is $99 through this Saturday Feb. 18. Any level of experience is accepted.
“We are considering adding a high school session for spring, since we have had many inquiries,” Helm added.
