Here are the top five stories in Orlando today:
1. On May 25, the Winter Park City Commission approved a request by Winter Park-based Z Properties to subdivide and replat the property at 1150 Louisiana Ave. Z Properties has applied to build six single-story office buildings surrounded by common parking and green space, according to city documents. 2. After being canceled for two years because of COVID-19, Altamonte Springs' Fourth of July event is making a comeback. Red Hot & Boom will take place Sunday, July 3 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Cranes Roost Park, with the fireworks display set to start at 9:30 p.m. (Click Orlando)
3. The Florida Department of Health in Orange County on Tuesday urged members of the public to exercise caution in and around Lake Mann after issuing a health caution because of blue-green algae. The last sample was taken May 26. (Spectrum 13)
4. Fresh Kitchen is set to open its fourth Central Florida location in Winter Garden in June. It is a build-your-own-bowl quick-service restaurant concept that features fresh greens, sweet potato noodles, seasoned rice, roasted veggies, hormone and antibiotic-free grilled meats. (West Orange Times)
5. Central Florida diners have something new to enjoy with Michelin star Chef Akira Back's new restaurant Salt & The Cellar. It features modern Asian cuisine blended with traditional Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner service. (Orlando Patch)
