TODAY: Commissioner & Vice Mayor Dr. Kelly Martinez Semrad to host last three "District 5 Neighborhood Advisory Council" meetings of 2026
addressing E-Bike Safety, Data Centers, Public Transportation

ORLANDO, Fla. -- TODAY, Orange County District 5 Commissioner and Vice Mayor Dr. Kelly Martinez Semrad will host the first of three District 5 Neighborhood Advisory Council meetings remaining in 2026. The meeting will take place today, Wednesday, August 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the Orange County Administration Building, 201 S. Rosalind Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801; and will stream live via Microsoft Teams. This meeting will feature Frank Santini, Researcher and Attorney, who will present "E-bike Safety: What the Crash Data Shows" to D5 NAC members and the wider public. About D5 NAC: The District 5 Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) assists the District 5 office in crafting legislation to be considered by the Board of County Commissioners. Recently submitted reports show the D5 NAC played a direct role in the upcoming data center moratorium discussion at the BCC on September 15, as well as the Sunshine Transportation Advancement Resolution (STAR) Plan with Sunrise Movement Orlando. These issues have driven over 1,000 emails to the Board of County Commissioners in support of the two proposed policies. The D5 NAC is continuing to build community support for these initiatives (more here).
