Senior Resource Alliance & Renacer Foundation to Distribute Storm Kits to Hurricane Ian Victims

Event Details

Renacer Foundation, 1801 Rouse Rd, Orlando, FL, 32817

As Central Florida continues to recover from Hurricane Ian – which caused more than $109 billion in damage across the state – Senior Resource Alliance and the Renacer Foundation will distribute 200 emergency preparedness kits to help older storm victims prepare for the upcoming season.

On Saturday, April 25, Hurricane Ian victims who are 65 or older can visit the Renacer Foundation headquarters – located at 1801 Rouse Rd. in Orlando – to pick up a free kit containing supplies such as a cooling fan, poncho and water purification packets. Recipients can self-attest to being impacted by the storm and do not need to provide documentation.

Hurricane season starts June 1 and ends November 30 – with Colorado State University forecasters predicting 13 named storms this year.
