Central Florida Allstate volunteers host donation drive
Allstate agency owners support nonprofits' work to prevent and end domestic violence in the community

Allstate agency owners from central Florida are coming together to host supply drives to benefit three nonprofits: Domestic Abuse Council of Volusia County, Harbor House of Central Florida and Peace River Center. The donations will support the nonprofits’ missions to prevent and end domestic abuse in the community and provide services to engage, restore and empower survivors to reach their fullest potential. The drives are part of the Allstate Foundation Purple Purse® campaign focusing on ending domestic violence through financial empowerment services for survivors.
Now through Nov. 30, the public can participate by donating toiletries (lotion, deodorant, travel-size hand sanitizer, shampoo, conditioner, hair products and feminine hygiene products), household items (towels, wash cloths, pots and pans) and clothing. More information on the most needed supplies can be found on the drive website: http://bit.ly/AllstateFoundationDV. Through their volunteer efforts of the supply drives, each Allstate agency owner will secure a $1,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands® grant. The grants will go to the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence to help the nonprofit empower women and children to create a violence-free world.
The participating Allstate agency owners are among thousands of agency owners and financial specialists around the country working to strengthen communities by volunteering their time to support the causes they care about most.
